Keeps work area free of solder fumes

Works very well to keep work area free of solder fumes. Beefy construction, stays in place - not easily bumped from placement area.

    Great for nail polish fumes

I make nail polish and my apartment isnt very well ventilated, even with the patio door open, so I was getting headaches and sore throat from the polish base fumes. Some of the pigments and fine glitters I work with also fly into the air when I open the bag or when Im mixing, which can get on the table, my glasses, or in my lungs! It sucks the little stray particles of pigment and glitter right up, and helps immensely with getting rid of most of the smell when Im mixing. I do have to work pretty closely to it which makes the polish a little on the cold side which is can cause clumping, but its worth it. Quiet too!

    Works like a champ!

I’ve been using mine for about a month: hours a day (pyrography/wood burning) and it works like a champ! I saw a YouTube video comparing this to a more expensive “known brand” and this one was the clear winner in my opinion for cleaning the air. The YouTuber was testing it while soldering with a handheld air quality mete. The Kotto kept the air quality at the lowest, safest level while the known brand (when used as directed) surprisingly very quickly hit the dangerous level and stayed there. It was only when the YouTuber turned the known brand into a different position (not recommended in the user guide btw) that the level dropped, although never as low as the kotto. That sold me. But the testing also revealed that the Kotto was slightly quieter and had a stronger suction at the same distance. I’ve seen other reviewers say they don’t like it because you have to keep the Kotto so close to your work, and yes, I do too, but I also figured that would be the case given size of the fan and the price point. Super, super happy with this fan and highly recommend it!
